技术特点

伊顿的EGR 泵为中重型发动机而设计。为未来排放法规(如欧7)提供燃油经济性改善和全范围EGR率控制方案。EGR泵集成了新型罗茨泵与48V电机,并于发动机排气系统兼容。目前已经过客户发动机台架测试验证,以良好的燃油经济性及出色的EGR率控制,达到甚至超过客户预期。

EGR泵用于驱动外部EGR,可实现EGR与涡轮匹配的解耦,从而实现涡轮增压器和进排气系统的最佳匹配。EGR泵通过主动驱动废气再循环,避免使用小规格涡轮或可变截面涡轮(VGT)来驱动,通过减少泵气损失来改善发动机燃油经济性和排放。与此同时,原EGR控制系统中某些昂贵的零件可以去除。如用固定截面涡轮(FGT)取代可变截面涡轮(VGT),EGR阀,EGR流量计等。

Eaton EGR Pump delivers HD Diesel fuel economy improvement and full-authority EGR rate control for upcoming emissions regs, e.g. Euro7. It’s designed with new Roots pump integrated with 48v electric motor and compatible with Diesel exhaust. Customers’ engine dyno tests have demonstrated fuel economy meeting or exceeding expectations and outstanding EGR rate control.

EGR Pump can be used to drive external EGR. It enables decoupling of EGR from turbo which can drive turbo matching for air system requirement. It drives EGR, and turbo is optimized for high efficiency boosting (replace VGT with FGT), then engine pump loss is reduced, and better fuel economy can be achieved. Meanwhile, some expensive components can be moved. E.g. Replacing VGT with FGT, deletion of EGR valve and flowmeter.

Advantage

Eaton EGR Pump is effective way to improve engine BTE and fuel economy. Main advantages are below:

Fuel Economy – EGR pump can drive EGR, and reduce pumping loss, and improve engine performance.  EGR Pump test on state-of-the-art HD engine has achieved ~1% BTE improvement and ~6% fuel economy improvement.

Full-authority EGR rate control – EGR Pump drives EGR. The full-authority EGR rate control has been demonstrated on current engine. By this way NOx can be further reduced.

Deletion of some expensive components EGR Pump enables decoupling of EGR from turbo which can drive turbo matching for air system requirement. Some expensive components can be moved. E.g. Replacing VGT with FGT, deletion of EGR valve and flowmeter. 

Eaton EGR pump can achieve decoupling of EGR driving and turbocharger matching. More efficient turbine can be used to reduce pump air loss, which can make the engine run more efficiently, improve the thermal efficiency of the engine, reduce fuel consumption and emissions. At present, Eaton EGR pump has been verified on Volvo Supertruck 2, which is an important technology of SWRI CHEDE 8 project.
