Speaker Bio

Zhichao Chen is the industrial IT department manager of Pharm-Tech (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. He joined Tianjin Tasly Group in 2007 and served as motion control engineer and auto-control engineer. He has been engaged in the design and software development of pharmaceutical process automation systems. He participated in the implementation of Tasly Pride Aseptic Preparation Air Conditioning Auto-control Project, Tasly High-speed Pill Dripping Machine Auto-control Project, Yunnan Deepure Bio-tea Extraction Project, Tasly Pride Aseptic Plant MES Project, Tianjin TCM Data Collection and Energy Management Project, Tasly Northeast TCM Intelligent Extraction Project, etc. 


Presentation Summary

The Chinese herbal medicine extraction workshop built by Tasly Group in Huanren Manchu Autonomous County, Benxi City, Liaoning Province started the formal production in September 2018.The raw material input is 10,000 tons annually. Comparing with the manual operation, this workshop saved 97 personnel. At the same time, the online control system, as a part of the quality informationization, managed the temperature, pressure, flow, density, sugar content and alcohol concentration and ensure the consistency of quality during production process. Based on BATCH automatic control system of Chinese medicine extraction, the video surveillance system was integrated into the DCS system for the first time, which mean that the platforms were integrated. Besides, based on the C/S system architecture and redundant CPU + bus I/O technology ensured the system stability, and save the project cost also. The functions of energy management and equipment management were added to calculate the batch energy consumption and operation status of related production equipment in real time. Electronic batch records were automatically generated after batch production.
