机械工业信息研究院（机械工业出版社）成立于 1952 年 12
月，由第一机械工业部技术情报所与机械工业出版社合并而成。经过 50
余年的发展，已经形成了完整的信息资源采集、加工、传播服务体系，产品涵盖图书、期刊、数据产品、音像制品、电子出版物，是集纸介媒体、视听媒体、网络媒体于一体，研究、出版、培训、印刷、发行纵向一体化的多领域、多学科的大型综合性信息服务与出版机构，是我国工业领域最大的信息服务机构，是国内规模最大出版社之一。
1996
年中国机械工业信息研究院联合德国弗戈媒体集团引进出版了中文刊物MM《现代制造》和AI《汽车制造业》杂志，从此开启了中德合作的里程。之后相继出版了PS《流程工业》、PP《现代包装》、LP《实验室与分析》以及BBI《啤酒与饮料》等多种刊物。2006
年又与美国Gardner 出版公司进行战略合作,

Founded in December 1952, China Machinery Industry
Information & Publication(CMIP), has become an
